FENIX IN LJUBLJANA, SLOVENIA
The REVEAL M12 General Assembly meeting, held on the 27th and 28th of June in Ljubljana, Slovenia, brought together partners to discuss, share, and celebrate the remarkable progress achieved over the past year. Hosted graciously by the Kemijski Institut, the meeting proved to be an enlightening and collaborative experience for all involved.
Day 1: Enlightening Beginnings
The first day set the stage for a series of engaging discussions and enlightening presentations. The event kicked off with a warm welcome from our hosts, who provided a comprehensive introduction to the National Institute of Chemistry, highlighting their pivotal role in the realm of chemistry and research, which was followed by the coordinator’s in-depth overview of the project's current status. Partners had the opportunity to share their progress during the past year.
Amid the productive discussions, attendees were treated to a unique opportunity to visit ELES, the operator of Slovenia's electric power transmission network. Here, captivating presentations explored the intricacies of electricity price variation and the challenges of international energy transmission, shedding light on the complexities of the energy market.
The day concluded on a celebratory note, as the FENIX team and partners gathered for dinner at the stunning Ljubljana Castle, engaging in lively conversations.
Day 2: Envisioning the Future
On the second day, the FENIX team took centre stage to present their work and future plans. The importance of dissemination, communication, and idea sharing were focal points, as partners came together to align their efforts.
As the meeting neared its conclusion, the project coordinator provided insights into the roadmap for the upcoming six months and future gatherings. A tour of the institute's facilities, ending in a rooftop gathering, allowed attendees to savour coffee and cakes while enjoying panoramic views of the cityscape.
The General Assembly meeting wrapped up with a final informal dinner in the heart of the city, solidifying the bonds formed during this enriching experience.
