FENIX IN AACHEN, GERMANY
The M6 Consortium meeting of the Carbon4Minerals project in Aachen, Germany was an exciting and productive event for the FENIX team. Hosted by our partners at RWTH Aachen University, the meeting kicked off on the 6th of June at the Institute of Building Materials Research. We were warmly welcomed by the project coordinator, Liesbeth Horckmans.
Throughout the meeting, our team had the valuable opportunity to connect with partners and gain insights into their contributions to the project. Each work package was presented, outlining the specific tasks and plans for the future. This comprehensive overview gave us a clear understanding of how each partner's work fits into the larger project framework.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the Exploitation workshop, led by Michal Klauda. The workshop focused on exploring strategies to maximize the potential impact of the project's outcomes and foster future collaborations. It was a thought-provoking session that encouraged the partners to think creatively about how we can leverage the project's results for wider benefits.
In the evening, after a productive day of discussions, all partners gathered for a delightful dinner at a restaurant in the city centre. This informal setting provided an excellent opportunity for us to engage in casual conversations and further strengthen our collaborative bonds. Building strong relationships with our partners is essential for the success of the Carbon4Minerals project, and this dinner facilitated a positive and friendly atmosphere.

The second day of the meeting commenced with a Dissemination and Communication workshop led by Anna Taťáková. Recognizing the importance of effectively sharing project results with the wider community, this workshop emphasized the significance of outreach efforts and raising awareness about the project. The partners learned valuable strategies for communicating the research findings to various stakeholders and engaging with the public.
After the presentations, we had the privilege of being given a guided tour of the laboratory facilities at RWTH Aachen University. Our partners took us through their research infrastructure and showcased their technological capabilities. It was a truly immersive experience that allowed us to witness firsthand the impressive resources available at the institution.
The meeting concluded with an internal session attended by our FENIX team. This session ensured effective coordination among the partners, enabling us to align our efforts and streamline our collaboration moving forward. Clear communication and coordination are crucial for the success of such a complex and ambitious project.
